Dr. Stroshine
Dr. Dave Stroshine grew up on a farm in northwestern Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. He served in the Army Veterinary Corps from 1968 to 1970. He was then employed as an associate veterinarian doing large and small animal medicine at Auburn Veterinary Hospital in Auburn, Washington for 1 ½ years. In 1972, he moved to Salinas, California, where he worked and soon became co-owner of a small animal veterinary practice until 2011, when he and his partner sold the practice. Dr. Dave continued to work in that practice for the new owner until June of 2014, when he semi-retired to Siskiyou County, where he now works part-time at Mt. Shasta Animal Hospital. He loves the outdoors, especially the mountains and forests that surround us here in this county.
Dr. Sampson
Dr. Sampson was born and raised in Montague California. He attended UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1991. He owned and operated the Mount Shasta Animal Hospital for 25 years and sold his practice. He continues to practice part time specializing in surgery. He has 3 grown children, 2 dogs and a wonderful wife. He currently lives in Mount Shasta.
Dr. Smith
Dr. Jeff Smith graduated from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He completed a private practice internship in Thousand Oaks, CA, (1987) and later a Don Lowe Fellowship in Diagnostic Imaging at UC Davis (2001). Dr. Smith achieved his CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) Certification from the University of Tennessee in 2014. His practice employs the use of UWTM, Therapy Laser, ECSWT, Game Ready, Multimodal Pain Therapy and Physical Therapy.
Dr. Smith has also been active in the CVMA over the last 20 years, culminating in his term as President in 2007-08. He has served on the UC Davis Admissions and Large Animal Advisory Committees. In addition, he is a Rotarian, Scoutmaster (and Eagle Scout), and a Karate Instructor. His wife Sheri managed their practice and has also been a Breeder Caretaker for CCI (Canine Companions for Independence).
